September

1 A Peregrine was on an electricity pylon at Chessington (Bonesgate Stream) departing towards Tolworth, also there were 32 Swallows nearby at Park Farm.
2 Two Hobby were at Kempton Nature Reserve and a Nuthatch was at Worcester Park (Cleveland Road) also 2 there on the 5th.
3  A Kingfisher was seen on Molesey Heath.
4 A Hobby was at Sandown Park, flying over and heading east.
7  A Greenshank was at Walton Res.
9 Two Common Sandpiper and 2 Little Egret, were at Hogsmill Sewage Works. A Kingfisher and a Peregrine were at Kempton Nature Reserve; 25 Swallows were at Kempton Park Racecourse. A Kingfisher was by River Thames (Hampton Court-Kingston Bridge). A Common Redstart, a Common Sandpiper and 4 Green Sandpipers were at Stain Hill Reservoir. A Little Egret was on Sunnyside Res and 3 Greenshank were on Walton Res.
11  A Tawny Owl was heard in Walton-on-Thames (Mayfield Gardens), and on the 30th.
14 A Kingfisher was at Hogsmill Sewage Works Nature reserve
17 A Common Buzzard was over Hogsmill Sewage Works being mobbed by Jackdaws also a Kingfisher was seen at Raeburn OS (Tolworth Brook).
19  A Common Sandpiper was seen on Walton Res.
21  A Wryneck was at Island Barn Res near the entrance gate to the reservoir.
24 Three Black-necked Grebe, a Red Kite and a Yellow Wagtail were seen at Island Barn Res. A Black Tern was at Walton Res.

October

1 A Gannet circled Island Barn Reservoir and departed N at about 14.30. A possible Scaup (or hybrid Tufted/Scaup) was at Walton Reservoir.
3 A Golden Plover and 6 Yellowhammer were at Rushett Farm.
4 A very late Grasshopper Warbler was flushed at Island Barn Reservoir. Six Red-legged Partridge, 2 Stonechat and 13 Yellowhammer were at Rushett Farm.
9 Male and female Stonechat were in Bushy Park (Heron Pond area).
10 A Common Buzzard and a Yellowhammer were at Rushett Farm.
14 A Little Egret was at R Hogsmill (Hogsmill Sewage Works), and a Whooper Swan (the Staines bird) on Island Barn Reservoir. Nearby a 1st summer Common Tern was on Walton Reservoir.
15 A Kingfisher was seen on Fieldcommon and another on Kempton Park Racecourse.
16 A Stonechat was at Hogsmill Sewage Works and a Little Egret and 4 Pintail on Stain Hill Reservoir.
19 Two Tawny Owl were at Esher (Hawkshill Way), one hooting the other flying in the garden.
21 A Common Buzzard was soaring over Apps Court Farm.
23 A Red Kite was flying over Hersham (Waitrose car park).
24 Four Pintail were at Walton Reservoir adult male, 1st-W male and 2 female. Presumably those on Stain Hill a week ago.
25 A Red Kite was flying over Hogsmill Sewage Works nature reserve.
28 A female Peregrine was again perched on a pylon at Chessington (Bonesgate Stream) and 10 male, 4 female Mandarin Duck were on Esher Common (Black Pond)
