July
2nd 10 Skylark, 2 Reed Bunting, 2 Yellowhammer were at  Rushett Farm.
7th 6 Swift and a Red Kite flew over Berrylands.
9th Swifts were recorded at  Hogsmill Sewage Works and Hook Rd, with 8 seen in Hook on the 13th giving indications of breeding locally.
12th 1 Common Sandpiper, Hogsmill Sewage Works, and on 14th.
13th 1 Little Ringed Plover, Kempton Nature Reserve.
14th 2 Bullfinch and 3 Tawny Owl (possibly also young) recorded in Prince’s Coverts, with c60 Swallows  and a Yellowhammer at Rushett Farm.
15th A Cetti’s Warbler, 2, Green Sandpipers, c30 Lapwing, 2 Little Egret and a Willow Warbler seen at Kempton Nature Reserve. The first returning Wood Sandpiper  was recorded at Walton Reservoir Garden Warbler and Grey Wagtail seen at Berrylands (Raeburn Avenue).
17th Hogsmill Sewage Works hosted a Cetti’s Warbler, 2, Lesser Black-backed Gulls and a Reed Warbler. 10 Swift noted at  Berrylands (Edith Gardens),
22nd 5 Little Egret were at Kempton Nature Reserve.
23rd Common Terns, were recorded Hampton Filter Beds, Kempton Park Racecourse and Kempton Water Works (Red House Reservoir). Stain Hill Reservoir held 10 Gadwall, 5 Pochard and a Grey Wagtail, with further Grey Wagtails recorded at Hampton Filter Beds and Hogsmill Sewage Works Kempton Nature Reserve also held 2, Green Sandpipers, 15 Lapwing, 1, Little Egret, 1, Little Ringed Plover, 3, Whitethroat and most notably 2 Ruddy Duck males. A Hobby flew over Stain Hill Reservoir and a Kingfisher was seen at Red House Reservoir. Flocks of c30 Swift were seen over both Stain Hill Reservoir and Kempton Park Racecourse.
28th A single Common Tern seen at River Thames c (Walton Res area).
29th 2 Black-tailed Godwit were at Walton Reservoir

5th

6+ Common Tern, 27, Lapwing and 1 Black-tailed Godwit seen at Walton Reservoir. 2+ Common Tern, at Walton Reservoir (Knight/Bessborough)

5 Common Whitethroat and 7 Linnet on Molesey Heath.

8th A Common Sandpiper seen at Hogsmill Sewage Works.
11th 3 Common Whitethroat, 1, Lesser Whitethroat, 2 Reed Bunting, 1, Yellowhammer and 2 Swallow recorded at Rushett Farm.
12th 4 Common Tern were at Walton Reservoir.
13th

Singles of Common Sandpiper, Common Whitethroat, Kingfisher and Willow Warbler were at Hogsmill Sewage Works. Sunnyside Reservoir held singles of Common Sandpiper and Common Tern, with a further 6 Common Tern over Hampton Filter Beds and 3 at Stain Hill Reservoir. The last site also held 17 Gadwall, 2 Pochard and a single Willow Warbler.

Kempton Nature Reserve held the outstanding  bird of the period when a Dartford Warbler was trapped and rung. Also recorded at the site were 1, Green Sandpiper, 1, Hobby, 1, Kingfisher, 18, Lapwing and 5 Willow Warbler. A single Ruff was at Walton Reservoir. Singles of Grey Wagtail and Willow Warbler were at Hampton Filter Beds and Hogsmill Sewage Works  respectively

14th 4 Swallow were noted over Walton-on-Thames (Burwood Road).
17th Barn Owl recorded at  Rushett Farm.
18th Singles of  Cetti’s Warbler and Common Sandpiper at Hogsmill Sewage Works (Lower Marsh Lane).
19th 2 Kingfisher at  Fieldcommon with a further single at Molesey Heath.
20th c15 Common Whitethroat and 1 Lesser Whitethroat recorded on Molesey Heath. 1 Common Sandpiper, 1, Dunlin, 19, Lapwing and 3, Little Egret at  Walton Reservoir.
23rd 3, Reed Bunting, 10, Skylark, c40, Swallow and 1, Yellowhammer at Rushett Farm.
30th c40 Sand Martin and c120 Swallows at Island Barn Res, with a further 12 Swallow at Walton Reservoir (Knight/Bessborough).
