Safeguarding of Children & Vulnerable Adults Policy

 

CHILDREN AND YOUNG PEOPLE UNDER THE AGE OF 18

 INDOOR MEETINGS

 All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at indoor meetings.

 All young people between the ages of 16 and 18 must have written permission from their parent or guardian to attend any indoor meeting without the said parent or guardian.

Vulnerable Adults (as defined by the Department of Health) where known should be accompanied by a carer.

As our indoor meetings are open to the public, Committee members should take all reasonable steps to safeguard any individual Vulnerable Adult notified to a Committee member.

 

FIELD TRIPS

All children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian.

 All young people between the ages of 16 and 18 must have written permission from their parent or guardian to attend any such trips without the said parent or guardian.

 Any Vulnerable Adult Member should be accompanied by a carer.
