Surbiton & District Bird Watching Society (Registered Charity 285 943)

Welcome to our site for birders in Kingston, Surbiton and North West Surrey.

Our Society has around 130 members and partakes in many activities including field outings and residential weekends. There are also several groups active in supporting the British Trust for Ornithology and RSPB in their various censuses.

We meet on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at Surbiton Library, at 8pm, except for August (no meeting) – all are welcome whether you are interested in joining or are just visiting the area.

Following the cancellation of group meetings and field outings due to Covid-19 from March – June, we are planning to start holding meetings for members by Zoom (as we cannot yet meet in the Surbiton Library Hall). Full details about this will be provided.

Also, with the change in the government guidelines allowing groups of up to 6 to meet outdoors, the SDBWS is planning to resume field outings where feasible, starting with the trip to Knepp Wildland on 12 July.  See Walks and Outings for full details of the arrangements.

Subscription rate is £20 per year. Junior U16 is £5 per year. Family membership (two adults and all children U16) is £40 per year. If you would like to join or would like further information, please contact us at: alicesdbws@martinhwatson.co.uk.
